Americans are increasingly unfamiliar with the Bible and seemingly much less prepared than previous generations to rightly divide it. In fact, 46 percent of Americans are now categorized as “Non-Bible Readers." Truly and effectively comprehending the Scriptures requires honesty, effort, and the awareness of certain elementary truths and preliminary principles of Bible study, eight of which are discussed in this lesson.
