Persecution gives the church the kind of perspective that leads to growth. Main Points: 1. During persecution, there is no confusion over the church's purpose. 2. During persecution, there is no confusion over who the enemy is. 3. During persecution, there is no discussion about compromising doctrine. 4. During persecution, there is no competition between churches. 5. During persecution, there is little need for church discipline.
