Although I never intended to spend my entire preaching career working with churches without elderships that has been the case, thus far. I have worked with three different congregations, in rural and small town settings, and I have learned many things about the dynamics of elderless churches. There are many pitfalls inherent in such works, and I shall talk about how to avoid them. There are a few keys to elderless churches function well and one big reason that that can be problematic and I shall talk about those things, too. With the number of sound churches in the brotherhood in decline, it is becoming more important for gospel preachers to know how to function in a work with no qualified leaders. I want to try and equip you with the knowledge you will need to do just that. =
