In the 8th and 7th centuries BC, the towns of Arad and Beersheba came to have their own altars and worship modeled on Jerusalem but with pagan religion mixed in, steering the people away from faithfully following God’s law. This lesson examines these episodes of compromised religion in order to remind us today to practice an uncompromised faith as well.
